In his continue effort to make the current generation of Anambra youths emulate the likes of late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, late Prof Chinua Achibe, late Dr Alex Ekwueme and other prominent Onye-Anambra who has legally created a great impacts to so many lives in Anambra and beyond, the Special Adviser to governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, on Youth Reformation, Dr Nelson Obinna Omenugha, has unveiled a Youth Reformation billboard at Chinua Achebe International Cargo and Passengers Airport in Umueri, Anambra east local government area of the State.
The unveiling who took place at the Departure axis of the airport on Friday 9th, 2026, is coming barely two-day after a similar history was created at Attawa Canada, where thousands of Anambra youths residing in different part of Canada attend the event.
Speaking during the unveiling, Omenugha said the Youth Reformation Programme is one of the governor’s vision of making Anambra a destination hub of Nigeria by 2070.
He said the billboard with different inscription such as; “What have you done today to make Anambra greater, see it, say it, do something, Ibu Ife Nke Obodo gi (let the light shine), keep it clean, keep the peace, protect it, a better Anambra begins with you, among others will serve as a message to the Anambra youths that are traveling out, what they have to bring back to develop the state and for those residing within the state, what they have to do to sustain it.

According to him, “Today, we took the Youth Reformation message to Chinua Achebe International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri, with the symbolic unveiling of Strategic Public Messaging Displays carrying powerful messages for every Onye Anambra, at home and in the diaspora.
“At the departure lounge, we have:”what have you done to make Anambra greater?
“This message is a call to reflection, responsibility and action. It challenges every Onye Anambra to look beyond personal success and consider their contribution to the progress of our state. Whether through enterprise, innovation, community service, integrity or creating opportunities for others, we all have a role to play in building a greater Anambra. Leaving home should not mean leaving our responsibility behind.
“This message reinforces our shared identity, pride and collective responsibility. Wherever we travel, Anambra remains our home, and its progress depends on what we contribute when we return and how we represent it wherever we go. It calls on us to protect our public facilities, promote peace, uphold our values and take pride in building a state that future generations will be proud to inherit.
“The activation reflects the heart of the Governor’s vision for Youth Reformation: restoring values, building character, creating opportunities and inspiring responsible citizenship. It reminds us that a greater Anambra is not built by government alone, but through the everyday choices, actions and contributions of its people.

The unveiling was performed by Prince Emeka Kalu, National President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), who commended Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, for championing Youth Reformation and called on Ndi Anambra, especially young people, to contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.
Witnesses to the activation included Mr Martins Emeka Nwafor, MD/CEO of the Airport; Prof. Kate Omenugha, fnipr, Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Varsity (COOU); Comrade Nonso Nwaebili, Esq., State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), His Youthfulness Comrade Nonso Nwaebili Esq, alongside members of the State Executive; Student Union Presidents of tertiary institutions across Anambra State, lead by SUG President of Ojukwu Varsity, Comrade Ikezu Anthony Chukwunwike, academics, security agencies and media professionals.
Our Correspondent gathered that Dr Omenugha’s vision as the Special Adviser to governor Soludo, is to build a generation of empowered, self-reliant youths who will contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.
