Ahead of the 2027 general election, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for Awka North/South Federal Constituency, Chief Austin Ogbonna Esq, (Also known as Okoliudo), has said he is hopeful of winning the election in the Constituency unchallenged.
He urged his supporters and residents of Awka North and South to be steadfast, insisting that he will prioritise welfare and development at the grassroots upon achieving his total victory.
Ogbonna who stated this while speaking with Journalists shortly after receiving an Award of Excellent from the Unique Fellows All Nations Club Awka, said that the party was in for serious business and will use the 2027 election to test it’s acceptance in the Constituency and Anambra State at large ahead of future polls.
The candidate who was accompanied by his campaign team and other APC supporters from the Constituency to the award ceremony held at the ASUU Secretariat Unizik, on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026,, said the party was determined to provide credible, accountable and people-oriented representation at the grassroot.
He said he was carefully elected by his party (APC) based on his competence, integrity, capacity and commitment to the development of Awka North and South Council Areas.
He appealed to the people to support APC and vote massively for his candidacy during the January 16th, 2027 elections, assuring them that his representation will prioritise the welfare and development of the Constituency.
He expressed confidence in the party’s capacity to emerge victorious at the poll, saying the growing acceptance of the party across Awka North and South Federal Constituency was a reflection of the people’s desire for a change.
He appreciated the Club for recognizing his contributions to the grow and development of mankind.
