The Anambra State ICT Agency and the Ministry of Works have reviewed DocTracker ahead of its official launch, with discussions focusing on expanding public access to road project information across the state.
The review, held at the Ministry on October 12th, 2026 featured inputs from the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Arc. Okechukwu Ezeobi, who emphasized the need to make the platform more public-facing.
The proposed direction would enable citizens to follow road projects from contract award through construction and completion, with attention to maintenance needs where necessary.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the ICT Agency, Mr Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, assured the Commissioner that the recommendations would be worked on ahead of the platform’s official launch.
Developed by ICT Agency, DocTracker is designed to support the tracking and management of infrastructure projects, contractor information and related documentation within the Ministry of Works.
The proposed public-facing dimension would give citizens a clearer view of road projects and their progress, while supporting continued attention to infrastructure after construction is completed.
The engagement also featured continued training for engineers in the Ministry, equipping them with the knowledge required to operate the application effectively when it becomes operational.
The review marks another step towards DocTracker’s deployment, as both institutions work towards a platform that supports project monitoring and strengthens public access to infrastructure information.
Meanwhile, the ICT Agency is currently training Ministry of Works staff on relevant information technology know-how useful for discharging the Ministry’s mandate.
