Amidst Encomium and Glamour, Record-Breakers, a humanitarian group, Unique Fellows All Nations Forum Awka, has between 2023 to 2026 doled out ten million naira (10million) to vulnerable residents across Anambra State as part of it socioeconomic intervention initiatives.
The group disclosed this during a press conference, held in Awka on Saturday, as part of activities for the upcoming inauguration of it 7th Mayor and other executive members billed for October 3rd, 2026.
Speaking further, the planning committee chairman, Barr. Kingsley Ezeibe, said the forum’s major priority is to uplift the living standard of Anambra residents especially, the widows, elderly citizens, orphans, physically challenged persons, prisoners, petty traders, artisans technicians and underprivileged people.
He said the organisation is strengthening its charitable activities to support vulnerable people and promote social inclusion in communities.
Ezeibe, who is the immediate past Deputy Mayor, said the forum focuses on assisting less-privileged people, including inmates, motherless children and other vulnerable members of the society.
He noted that the forum was formally established around 2002/2003, with a structured administration, office and incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
Ezeibe said the forum was preparing to formally install its seventh Mayor, Barrister Gabriel Udokamneke, who was elected unopposed in February and had since been leading its affairs.
He said Udoka Muoneke assumed leadership following his election and had been piloting the club’s activities pending his formal installation on October 3.
Another member of the forum, who also spoke, Prof Harrison Oghenekevwe Etega, reaffirmed the forum’s commitment to complementing the State and Federal Governments’ Strides.
On his part, the upcoming Mayor, Barrister Gabriel Udoka Muoneke, promised to deliver people-oriented progrommes in Awka and beyond.
