The newly inaugurated Mayor of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Oluchukwu John Ilogbenu, has announced his first set of appointments, marking the commencement of his administration’s drive to deliver on its promise of consolidation and measurable development across the local government.
In a press statement issued following his inauguration, the Mayor announced the appointment of Hon. Elochukwu Obiefuna as Secretary to the Local Government (SLG).
The Mayor expressed confidence in Hon. Obiefuna’s capacity to contribute meaningfully to the administration, noting that his wealth of experience would help translate the administration’s “Idemili South Rising” vision into visible and measurable impact for the people.
The Mayor also announced the appointment of the following:
- Hon. Tony Elebo — Special Assistant (Protocol)
- Hon. Obisieike Okeke — Special Assistant (Security)
- Mr. Casmir Obiegbolu — Media Adviser
The appointments constitute the first major administrative steps of the new administration and signal the commencement of Mayor Ilogbenu’s leadership agenda for Idemili South.
The Mayor had, during his campaign and subsequent engagements with the people, pledged to run an administration focused on consolidating existing gains while pursuing continuous progress and development across the local government.
With the new appointments, the administration is expected to move swiftly into the implementation of its programmes and the strengthening of its administrative structure.
The Mayor congratulated the new appointees and wished them a successful and impactful tenure in office.
