The Editor Tragedy has occured at the Plumbing Market, along Uga Street, near Onitsha Bridge Head Market, when a gas cylinder exploded and killed about two persons and injuring several others. Our correspondent gathered that the incident which occured on Friday, caused panic in the market as traders, passers-by and customers scampered to safety as the explosion occured suddenly with a very loud noise. An eyewitness near the scene said the explosion occured while a welder was working on a metal with carbide and due to exposure to excess heat, the gas exploded suddenly.
