Supporters of Senator Emma Anosike-led executive and that of immediate past governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Prince Nicholas Ukschukwu are at each others jugglers over the fresh crisis in the party in Anambra state.
Anosike supporters has accused Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of being part of those fueling the crisis in the party adding that their plot is to frustrate President Ahmed Bola Tinubu from not making the mandatory 25 percent votes of Anambra electorate in the coming 2027 Presidential election.
According to them , Ukslachukwu is not happy over the outcome of the gubernatorial election in Anambra state due to unconfirmed reports that the Presidency did not give him it’s backing hence the victory of Governor Charles Soludo.
They insisted that the plot is the genesis of the leadership tussle between Sen Emma Anosike and Chief Ifeanyi Osegbo who they claim is being used as a cannon folder.
However on of the Directors Ukachukwu Campaign Council Hon Tony Uche contended that Ukschukwu has no hand in the plot adding that the allegation is coming from Anosike camp.
“He is not and refused to be part of the distraction and those peddling these stories are Anosike and his people and they went and removed our names from the list of the National Convention of the party and state Congress”
“All of us that won the election for the Congress and Convention had our names removed because we are supporting Nicholas Ukschukwu”
“When we contacted Ukachukwu he said that he is not interested and we decided on our own to take the matter to Court because they removed our names , the state Publicity Secretary of the party, they removed legal Adviser, removed nine of us from from the State Working Committee SWC of the party “
“All of us are statutory members of the party whose names were on the delegate lists of the party for the National Convention so nine of us have to go to Court to challenge the outcome and so called leadership of the part ; said.
But Anosike group dismissed the claims of Tony Uche contending that they are putting up weak defense for their Principal.
According to Mike Chukwu , those claims are baseless because they do not have any proof and it is not within the poviwe of the state Chairman to remove names of those that are to be in the delegate lists” he said.
