The South East zonal chairman of the Manufacturer Association of Nigeria (MAN), Dr Lady Ada Chukwudozie, has commended the siting of the newly Commission’s Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in Anambra State.
The commendation came while speaking with Journalists on Friday, October 2nd, 2026 shortly after the official commissioning of the directorate located at Udoka housing estate in Awka.
She described it as a welcome development.
Chukwudozie said the office will help sustained efforts in combating financial crimes in Anambra, Imo and the entire South East region.
She said her participation in the official commissioning ceremony strongly aimed to strengthen the existing collaboration between MAN and the Commission particularly in the area of information sharing in combating criminal activities surrounding Manufacturering sector in the South East region and the county at large.
She further emphasized that closer cooperation would enhance information gathering, strengthen collaboration between the both organizations.
According to her, I am supper excited that EFCC zonal directorate has been established in Awka to look after Anambra and Imo States respectively.
“The Commission will help curb criminal activities not only in Anambra and Imo states but the entire South East region.
We, at the productive sector, have been yearning for such stronger institution and today, EFCC is here to ensure accountability, transparency and creditability in all round sectors of the economic.
“This is to strengthen the move by the Anambra government who has already started cleaning up the state from crime.
“So, the establishment of this directorate is a welcome move on our side and we hope that the commission will discharge their mandate with professionalism, fairness and integrity. Also we believe that the establishment will be a symbol of service which will strengthen enterprises and our collective prosperity.
“To MAN in Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi under my watch, we are committed to open dialogue and compliance to continuously building businesses that will make South East region and Nigeria as a whole very much proud, Lady Chukwudozie concluded.
