The candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP), for Anambra South Senatorial District, ahead of the 2027 general elections, Prince Samben Nwosu, has said the party wouldn’t accept any form of vote buying during the voting process in the zone.
He said the party will deployed all its political machinaries to ensure that votes are counted at the polling units across the 7 local government areas; Aguata, Ihiala, Ekwisigo, Orumba North, Orumba South, Nnewi North and Nnewi South that constitute the Senatorial District to know the winner.
Nwosu stated this at his residence in Nnewi on Tuesday, during a well-attended press conference, as part of activities to officially flags-off his Senatorial campaign, scheduled for Friday, October 2nd, 2026.
The PDP Candidate cautioned Anambra South voters against what he described as attempts by some political actors riding on siren cars to persuade them to split their votes by supporting PDP candidate (Samben) in some quarters and candidates of other parties in others, insisting it must be PDP all through.
According to him, I am contesting to attract quality representation to the good people of Anambra South.
“I am going to the red chamber of the National Assembly (Senate) Abuja, to serve and not to acquire wealth for my personal used.
“If elected, I will bring a new brown representation to the zone.
“I am going to the National Assembly to complete the good work my town’s brother, late Senator Patrick Ifeamyi Ubah has started before his unfortunate demise.
“If Vote buying didn’t work in the just concluded Osun State governorship election, definitely, it wouldn’t also work in Anambra South Senatorial District.
“The 2027 Senatorial election in Anambra South is between myself (Prince Samben Nwosu), my party, PDP and the people of Anambra South.
“As a former organizing secretary of PDP in Anambra State, it gives me the opportunity to win as grassroot mobilizer.
“My upcoming campaign will focus more on engaging the people, especially, the young ones to know their socio-economic challenges and not to blow siren around.
“My candidacy is a hope to the people, because I remain the only candidate in the race who woud turned the long time negative grassroot fortune to positive.
“PDP will win the race because it is the only political party that has presence in every compound across the seven council areas that formed Anambra South Senatorial zone, Nwosu declared.
He urged PDP supporters to turn out en masse on January 16th, 2027 and vote for him and other candidates contesting under the platform for the good of all
