The wife of the Anambra State governor and the founder of Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo, has dedicated her just received National Leadership Conference (NLC) 2026 Award to her initiative crusaders for their immense support towards the height.
The award according to Daniel Ezeigwe, her media aide, who disclosed this in a statement in Awka on Sunday, was in recognition of her contributions to social impact and community development.
Ezeigwe noted further that, the award which comes under the category of Excellence in Social Impact Leadership, recognizes individuals whose leadership and initiatives have made significant contributions to improving the lives of people and communities, adding that the recognition comes against the backdrop of her sustained advocacy and interventions in health, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, healthy living, child welfare and community wellbeing across Anambra State.
“Through the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo initiative, she has championed programmes focused on preventive healthcare, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, maternal and child wellbeing, environmental hygiene and healthy lifestyle practices.
“Her initiatives have also included the distribution of menstrual hygiene products to schoolgirls, nutrition interventions for children, health screenings and awareness campaigns, as well as community-based healthy living activities across the state’s 21 local government areas.
The NLC 2026 Award adds to the growing recognition of Dr. Soludo’s work in social impact and public wellbeing, he commended.
Reacting to the National recognition that took place at Abuja, on Saturday, September 19th, 2026, the Anambra first lady, Mrs Soludo, said I received the National Leadership Conference 2026 Award for Excellence in Social Impact Leadership, and I receive this honour with deep gratitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
“I dedicate this special recognition to every person who has contributed, in one way or another, to the growth and impact of the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative.
“To our volunteers, coordinators, partners, health workers, teachers, community leaders and every member of our great team who continues to give their time, energy and heart to this work, thank you. Your tireless efforts are the reason Healthy Living has grown into a crusade touching lives across Anambra and beyond.
“My dear daughter, Adaora Ifeatu Soludo, received the award on my behalf today, and I am especially grateful and proud that she could represent me at this important moment.
“We will keep showing up, keep serving and keep doing the work. There is still so much more to do.
