As the 2027 general elections gather momentum, the Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Lilian Uche Ekwunife, has frantically declared that his followers and the people of Anambra remain committed to re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, victory of herself and all other candidates of the party in the state
Ekwunife made the declaration during a one-day Anambra Central stakeholders meeting with local government and ward officials of the party from the zone, held at the Senator Uche Ekwunife event center in Awka, on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
Ekwunife, who is also the South-East Zonal Director of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for President Tinubu’s election, said Anambra is committed to ensure the victory of APC at all levels, come 2027 elections in the state
The hopeful Senator, his campaign supporters and party stakeholders also passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu.
She reiterated that she is fully committed to delivering victory to the APC, at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
“According to her, my interest, the Interest of all APC candidates for the election and the interest of all other committed members of our great party is to ensure that President Tinubu wins from “top to bottom and bottom to top.
“I would ensure that Anambra lead the country in delivering massive votes for President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election come January 16th, 2026.
“We must not be decieve by the State -ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA’ slogan of “Progressives are working together in Anambra”.
“We must vote for Tinubu to enable him complete the developmental projects he has started in the south east region.
“We must be committed and work hard to ensure our working President wins from top to bottom in Anambra State.
“Anambra must join the ruling team to improve in all sectors of human existence and this can only come to fruitful when we all sacrifice our political energy.
“As a structural politician, I can tell you, the Minister of Works, Engr Dave Umahi, the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru and their Enugu counterpart, governor Peter Mbah are really making APC proud in the south east region.
Ekwunife, pledged to moved Anambra Senatorial District to the next level, if given the opportunity to return back to the Senate come 2027 general election.
In his remark, the Deputy National Chairman (South), Barrister Ben Nwoye, urged the supporters not to be decieve by the APGA slogan of “Progressives are working together,” describing it as “fallacy”
He expressed confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in 2027.
In his remark, the APC candidate for Idemili North/South Federal Constituency, Barrister Kingsley Ezekwelu, while commending Ekwunife for the event, reaffirmed his committed to ensuring APC’s, ” record-breaking victory at the presidential, National Assembly and State Assembly elections.
He also commended the media for their continue support for APC-led Federal Government.
“At the end of the meeting, supporters unanimously passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu and Senator Ekwunife.
They also pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation and work collectively for the success of the APC at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
Others present during the event include” the APC candidate for Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha Federal Constituency, Amb. Elijah Onyeagba, APC deputy National Organizing Secretary, Barr Emeka Okafor, and APC women leader (South East), Dr Oby Achi.
