The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Anambra State Information and Communication Technology Agency, Chukwuemeka Agbata, has reaffirmed the commitment of the state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’s pledge to transforming Anambra into Nigeria’s digital and creative capital.
Speaking to journalists at the Agency’s office in Awka, on Friday, Agbata, who is also the Convener of the Geeks and Founders Alliance for Soludo, referenced the governor’s blueprint as contained on Page 19 of the people’e manifesto.
He noted that the digital agenda is anchored on deliberate investments in infrastructure, digital skills, innovation, entrepreneurship, social development, and economic transformation through technology and the creative economy.
He said, “Bold decisions such as the waiver of Right of Way fees have already unlocked broadband expansion, boosted digital capacity, and laid the foundation for a vibrant digital economy.
“With another four years, these gains will not only be deepened, but will firmly position Anambra as Nigeria’s hub for digital innovation and the creative economy.
He further emphasised that as Convener of GEFAS, the group remains committed to the 4 + 4 mandate, consistently taking the message to the people and reinforcing belief in the state’s digital future.
“With Mr Governor, the digital promise is real. Solution continues, and Anambra is rising,” Agbata added.
